എന്നിട്ട് അവര് തിരിഞ്ഞുകളയുകയാണെങ്കില് നീ പറയുക: നിങ്ങളോട് ഞാന് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത് തുല്യമായ വിധത്തിലാകുന്നു. നിങ്ങളോട് വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്ന കാര്യം ആസന്നമാണോ അതല്ല വിദൂരമാണോ എന്നെനിക്കറിഞ്ഞ് കൂടാ.(109)
(109) فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ آذَنْتُكُمْ عَلَىٰ سَوَاءٍ ۖ وَإِنْ أَدْرِي أَقَرِيبٌ أَمْ بَعِيدٌ مَا تُوعَدُونَ
But if they (disbelievers, idolaters, Jews, Christians, polytheists, etc.) turn away (from Islamic Monotheism) say (to them O Muhammad SAW): "I give you a notice (of war as) to be known to us all alike. And I know not whether that which you are promised (i.e. the torment or the Day of Resurrection) is near or far."(109)
