അവന് പറഞ്ഞു: അവര് (ജനങ്ങള്) കണ്ടുമനസ്സിലാക്കാത്ത ഒരു കാര്യം ഞാന് കണ്ടുമനസ്സിലാക്കി. അങ്ങനെ ദൈവദൂതന്റെ കാല്പാടില് നിന്ന് ഞാനൊരു പിടിപിടിക്കുകയും എന്നിട്ടത് ഇട്ടുകളയുകയും ചെയ്തു. അപ്രകാരം ചെയ്യാനാണ് എന്റെ മനസ്സ് എന്നെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചത്.(96)
(96) قَالَ بَصُرْتُ بِمَا لَمْ يَبْصُرُوا بِهِ فَقَبَضْتُ قَبْضَةً مِنْ أَثَرِ الرَّسُولِ فَنَبَذْتُهَا وَكَذَٰلِكَ سَوَّلَتْ لِي نَفْسِي
(Samiri) said: "I saw what they saw not, so I took a handful (of dust) from the hoof print of the messenger [Jibrael's (Gabriel) horse] and threw it [into the fire in which were put the ornaments of the Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) people, or into the calf]. Thus my inner-self suggested to me."(96)
