അവരത് ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതിന് (തടസ്സമായി) അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിന്മേല് നാം മൂടികള് വെക്കുന്നതും, അവരുടെ കാതുകളില് നാം ഒരു തരം ഭാരം വെക്കുന്നതുമാണ്. ഖുര്ആന് പാരായണത്തില് നിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിനെപ്പറ്റി മാത്രം പ്രസ്താവിച്ചാല് അവര് വിറളിയെടുത്ത് പുറം തിരിഞ്ഞ് പോകുന്നതാണ്.(46)
(46) وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَنْ يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا ۚ وَإِذَا ذَكَرْتَ رَبَّكَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ وَحْدَهُ وَلَّوْا عَلَىٰ أَدْبَارِهِمْ نُفُورًا
And We have put coverings over their hearts lest, they should understand it (the Quran), and in their ears deafness. And when you make mention of your Lord Alone [La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah) Islamic Monotheism] in the Quran, they turn on their backs, fleeing in extreme dislikeness.(46)
