അല്ലാഹു പവിത്രത നല്കിയിട്ടുള്ള ജീവനെ ന്യായപ്രകാരമല്ലാതെ നിങ്ങള് ഹനിക്കരുത്. അക്രമത്തിനു വിധേയനായി വല്ലവനും കൊല്ലപ്പെടുന്ന പക്ഷം അവന്റെ അവകാശിക്ക് നാം (പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യാന്) അധികാരം വെച്ച് കൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാല് അവന് കൊലയില് അതിരുകവിയരുത്. തീര്ച്ചയായും അവന് സഹായിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവനാകുന്നു.(33)
(33) وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ ۗ وَمَنْ قُتِلَ مَظْلُومًا فَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا لِوَلِيِّهِ سُلْطَانًا فَلَا يُسْرِفْ فِي الْقَتْلِ ۖ إِنَّهُ كَانَ مَنْصُورًا
And do not kill anyone which Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause. And whoever is killed (intentionally with hostility and oppression and not by mistake), We have given his heir the authority [(to demand Qisas, Law of Equality in punishment or to forgive, or to take Diya (blood money)]. But let him not exceed limits in the matter of taking life (i.e. he should not kill except the killer only). Verily, he is helped (by the Islamic law).(33)
