നിങ്ങള് ശിക്ഷാനടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില് (എതിരാളികളില് നിന്ന്) നിങ്ങളുടെ നേരെയുണ്ടായ ശിക്ഷാനടപടിക്ക് തുല്യമായ നടപടി നിങ്ങള് സ്വീകരിച്ച് കൊള്ളുക. നിങ്ങള് ക്ഷമിക്കുകയാണെങ്കിലോ അതു തന്നെയാണ് ക്ഷമാശീലര്ക്ക് കൂടുതല് ഉത്തമം.(126)
(126) وَإِنْ عَاقَبْتُمْ فَعَاقِبُوا بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبْتُمْ بِهِ ۖ وَلَئِنْ صَبَرْتُمْ لَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لِلصَّابِرِينَ
And if you punish (your enemy, O you believers in the Oneness of Allah), then punish them with the like of that with which you were afflicted. But if you endure patiently, verily, it is better for As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.).(126)
