സത്യവിശ്വാസികളേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പുള്ളവരോട് കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നത് പോലെത്തന്നെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കും നോമ്പ് നിര്ബന്ധമായി കല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങള് ദോഷബാധയെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുവാന് വേണ്ടിയത്രെ അത്.(183)
(183) يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2).(183)
