അവരില് നിന്നു തിരിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: യൂസുഫിന്റെ കാര്യം എത്ര സങ്കടകരം! ദുഃഖം നിമിത്തം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഇരുകണ്ണുകളും വെളുത്ത് പോയി. അങ്ങനെ അദ്ദേഹം (ദുഃഖം) ഉള്ളിലൊതുക്കി കഴിയുകയാണ്.(84)
(84) وَتَوَلَّىٰ عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَا أَسَفَىٰ عَلَىٰ يُوسُفَ وَابْيَضَّتْ عَيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْحُزْنِ فَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ
And he turned away from them and said: "Alas, my grief for Yusuf (Joseph)!" And he lost his sight because of the sorrow that he was suppressing.(84)
