നമ്മുടെ ദൂതന്മാര് (മലക്കുകള്) ലൂത്വിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നപ്പോള് അവരുടെ കാര്യത്തില് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ദുഃഖം തോന്നുകയും അവരെ പറ്റി ചിന്തിച്ചിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് മനഃപ്രയാസമുണ്ടാവുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇതൊരു വിഷമകരമായ ദിവസം തന്നെ എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറയുകയും ചെയ്തു.(77)
(77) وَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًا سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيبٌ
And when Our Messengers came to Lout (Lot), he was grieved on their account and felt himself straitened for them (lest the town people should approach them to commit sodomy with them). He said: "This is a distressful day."(77)
