അങ്ങനെ നമ്മുടെ കല്പന വരികയും അടുപ്പ് ഉറവപൊട്ടി ഒഴുകുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള് നാം പറഞ്ഞു: എല്ലാ വര്ഗത്തില് നിന്നും രണ്ട് ഇണകളെ വീതവും, നിന്റെ കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളെയും അതില് കയറ്റികൊള്ളുക. (അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് നിന്ന്) ആര്ക്കെതിരില് (ശിക്ഷയുടെ) വചനം മുന്കൂട്ടി ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ടോ അവരൊഴികെ. വിശ്വസിച്ചവരെയും (കയറ്റികൊള്ളുക.) അദ്ദേഹത്തോടൊപ്പം കുറച്ച് പേരല്ലാതെ വിശ്വസിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.(40)
(40) حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ قُلْنَا احْمِلْ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ وَمَنْ آمَنَ ۚ وَمَا آمَنَ مَعَهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ
(So it was) till then there came Our Command and the oven gushed forth (water like fountains from the earth). We said: "Embark therein, of each kind two (male and female), and your family, except him against whom the Word has already gone forth, and those who believe. And none believed with him, except a few."(40)
