അതല്ല, ഇബ്രാഹീമും ഇസ്മാഈലും, ഇഷാഖും, യഅ്ഖൂബും, യഅ്ഖൂബ് സന്തതികളുമെല്ലാം തന്നെ യഹൂദരോ ക്രൈസ്തവരോ ആയിരുന്നു എന്നാണോ നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നത്? (നബിയേ,) ചോദിക്കുക: നിങ്ങള്ക്കാണോ കൂടുതല് അറിവുള്ളത് ? അതോ അല്ലാഹുവിനോ? അല്ലാഹുവിങ്കല് നിന്ന് ലഭിച്ചതും, തന്റെ പക്കലുള്ളതുമായ സാക്ഷ്യം മറച്ചു വെച്ചവനേക്കാള് വലിയ അതിക്രമകാരി ആരുണ്ട് ? നിങ്ങള് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നതിനെ പറ്റിയൊന്നും അല്ലാഹു അശ്രദ്ധനല്ല.(140)
(140) أَمْ تَقُولُونَ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالْأَسْبَاطَ كَانُوا هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَىٰ ۗ قُلْ أَأَنْتُمْ أَعْلَمُ أَمِ اللَّهُ ۗ وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ كَتَمَ شَهَادَةً عِنْدَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
Or say you that Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob) and Al-Asbat [the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)] were Jews or Christians? Say, "Do you know better or does Allah (knows better
that they all were Muslims)? And who is more unjust than he who conceals the testimony [i.e. to believe in Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him when he comes, written in their Books. (See Verse 7:157)] he has from Allah? And Allah is not unaware of what you do."(140)
