ദാനധര്മ്മങ്ങള് (നല്കേണ്ടത്) ദരിദ്രന്മാര്ക്കും, അഗതികള്ക്കും, അതിന്റെ കാര്യത്തില് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും (ഇസ്ലാമുമായി) മനസ്സുകള് ഇണക്കപ്പെട്ടവര്ക്കും, അടിമകളുടെ (മോചനത്തിന്റെ) കാര്യത്തിലും, കടം കൊണ്ട് വിഷമിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും, അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ മാര്ഗത്തിലും, വഴിപോക്കന്നും മാത്രമാണ്. അല്ലാഹുവിങ്കല് നിന്ന് നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെട്ടതത്രെ ഇത്. അല്ലാഹു എല്ലാം അറിയുന്നവനും യുക്തിമാനുമാണ്.(60)
(60) ۞ إِنَّمَا الصَّدَقَاتُ لِلْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْعَامِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا وَالْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَالْغَارِمِينَ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ ۖ فَرِيضَةً مِنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
As-Sadaqat (here it means Zakat) are only for the Fuqara' (poor), and Al-Masakin (the poor) and those employed to collect (the funds); and for to attract the hearts of those who have been inclined (towards Islam); and to free the captives; and for those in debt; and for Allah's Cause (i.e. for Mujahidun - those fighting in the holy wars), and for the wayfarer (a traveller who is cut off from everything); a duty imposed by Allah. And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.(60)
