ഇഹലോകത്തും പരലോകത്തും ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ നീ നന്‍മ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുകയും (അഥവാ വിധിക്കുകയും) ചെയ്യേണമേ. തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഞങ്ങള്‍ നിന്നിലേക്ക്‌ മടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അവന്‍ (അല്ലാഹു) പറഞ്ഞു: എന്‍റെ ശിക്ഷ ഞാന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക്‌ ഏല്‍പിക്കുന്നതാണ്‌. എന്‍റെ കാരുണ്യമാകട്ടെ സര്‍വ്വ വസ്തുക്കളെയും ഉള്‍കൊള്ളുന്നതായിരിക്കും. എന്നാല്‍ ധര്‍മ്മനിഷ്ഠ പാലിക്കുകയും, സകാത്ത്‌ നല്‍കുകയും, നമ്മുടെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളില്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരായ ആളുകള്‍ക്ക്‌ (പ്രത്യേകമായി) ഞാന്‍ അത്‌ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതാണ്‌.(156)
(156) ۞ وَاكْتُبْ لَنَا فِي هَٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ إِنَّا هُدْنَا إِلَيْكَ ۚ قَالَ عَذَابِي أُصِيبُ بِهِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ ۖ وَرَحْمَتِي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ ۚ فَسَأَكْتُبُهَا لِلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ بِآيَاتِنَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
And ordain for us good in this world, and in the Hereafter. Certainly we have turned unto You." He said: (As to) My Punishment I afflict therewith whom I will and My Mercy embraces all things. That (Mercy) I shall ordain for those who are the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2), and give Zakat; and those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs and revelations, etc.);(156)
