അവര്ക്കു ഖേദം തോന്നുകയും, തങ്ങള് പിഴച്ച് പോയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് അവര് കാണുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള് അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവ് ഞങ്ങളോട് കരുണ കാണിക്കുകയും, ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് പൊറുത്തുതരികയും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലെങ്കില് തീര്ച്ചയായും ഞങ്ങള് നഷ്ടക്കാരില് പെട്ടവരായിരിക്കും.(149)
(149) وَلَمَّا سُقِطَ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ وَرَأَوْا أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ ضَلُّوا قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ يَرْحَمْنَا رَبُّنَا وَيَغْفِرْ لَنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
And when they regretted and saw that they had gone astray, they (repented and) said: "If our Lord have not mercy upon us and forgive us, we shall certainly be of the losers."(149)
