അതല്ല, പരലോകത്തെ പറ്റി ജാഗ്രത പുലര്ത്തുകയും, തന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ കാരുണ്യം ആശിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു കൊണ്ട് സാഷ്ടാംഗം ചെയ്തും, നിന്നു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചും രാത്രി സമയങ്ങളില് കീഴ്വണക്കം ചെയ്യുന്നവനോ (അതല്ല സത്യനിഷേധിയോ ഉത്തമന്?) പറയുക: അറിവുള്ളവരും അറിവില്ലാത്തവരും സമമാകുമോ? ബുദ്ധിമാന്മാര് മാത്രമേ ആലോചിച്ചു മനസ്സിലാക്കുകയുള്ളൂ.(9)
(9) أَمَّنْ هُوَ قَانِتٌ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ سَاجِدًا وَقَائِمًا يَحْذَرُ الْآخِرَةَ وَيَرْجُو رَحْمَةَ رَبِّهِ ۗ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ۗ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ
Is one who is obedient to Allah, prostrating himself or standing (in prayer) during the hours of the night, fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the Mercy of his Lord (like one who disbelieves)? Say: "Are those who know equal to those who know not?" It is only men of understanding who will remember (i.e. get a lesson from Allah's Signs and Verses).(9)
