ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരില് നിന്നും സന്തതികളില് നിന്നും ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് നീ കണ്കുളിര്മ നല്കുകയും ധര്മ്മനിഷ്ഠ പാലിക്കുന്നവര്ക്ക് ഞങ്ങളെ നീ മാതൃകയാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യേണമേ എന്ന് പറയുന്നവരുമാകുന്നു അവര്.(74)
(74) وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders for the Muttaqun" (pious - see V. 2:2 and the footnote of V. 3:164)."(74)
