അങ്ങനെ അവര് ജാലൂതിനും സൈന്യങ്ങള്ക്കുമെതിരെ പോരിനിറങ്ങിയപ്പോള് അവര് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു: ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാഥാ! ഞങ്ങളുടെ മേല് നീ ക്ഷമ ചൊരിഞ്ഞുതരികയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പാദങ്ങളെ നീ ഉറപ്പിച്ചു നിര്ത്തുകയും, സത്യനിഷേധികളായ ജനങ്ങള്ക്കെതിരില് ഞങ്ങളെ നീ സഹായിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യേണമേ.(250)
(250) وَلَمَّا بَرَزُوا لِجَالُوتَ وَجُنُودِهِ قَالُوا رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
And when they advanced to meet Jalut (Goliath) and his forces, they invoked: "Our Lord! Pour forth on us patience and make us victorious over the disbelieving people."(250)
