ഹേ, സകരിയ്യാ, തീര്ച്ചയായും നിനക്ക് നാം ഒരു ആണ്കുട്ടിയെപ്പറ്റി സന്തോഷവാര്ത്ത അറിയിക്കുന്നു. അവന്റെ പേര് യഹ്യാ എന്നാകുന്നു. മുമ്പ് നാം ആരെയും അവന്റെ പേര് ഉള്ളവരാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല.(7)
(7) يَا زَكَرِيَّا إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَامٍ اسْمُهُ يَحْيَىٰ لَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ سَمِيًّا
(Allah said) "O Zakariya (Zachariah)! Verily, We give you the glad tidings of a son, His name will be Yahya (John). We have given that name to none before (him)."(7)
