അല്ലാഹു അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത് നിങ്ങള് പിന് പറ്റി ജീവിക്കുക എന്ന് അവരോട് ആരെങ്കിലും പറഞ്ഞാല്, അല്ല, ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കള് സ്വീകരിച്ചതായി കണ്ടതേ ഞങ്ങള് പിന് പറ്റുകയുള്ളൂ എന്നായിരിക്കും അവര് പറയുന്നത്. അവരുടെ പിതാക്കള് യാതൊന്നും ചിന്തിച്ച് മനസ്സിലാക്കാത്തവരും നേര്വഴി കണ്ടെത്താത്തവരുമായിരുന്നെങ്കില് പോലും (അവരെ പിന് പറ്റുകയാണോ?)(170)
(170) وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۗ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ
When it is said to them: "Follow what Allah has sent down." They say: "Nay! We shall follow what we found our fathers following." (Would they do that!) Even though their fathers did not understand anything nor were they guided?(170)
