തീര്ച്ചയായും നാം നിങ്ങളെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയും, നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് രൂപം നല്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. പിന്നീട് നാം മലക്കുകളോട് പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള് ആദമിനെ പ്രണമിക്കുക. അവര് പ്രണമിച്ചു; ഇബ്ലീസൊഴികെ. അവന് പ്രണമിച്ചവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലായില്ല.(11)
(11) وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُنْ مِنَ السَّاجِدِينَ
And surely, We created you (your father Adam) and then gave you shape (the noble shape of a human being), then We told the angels, "Prostrate to Adam", and they prostrated, except Iblis (Satan), he refused to be of those who prostrate.(11)
