എന്റെസമുദായമേ, കാളക്കുട്ടിയെ (ദൈവമായി) സ്വീകരിച്ചത് മുഖേന നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോട് തന്നെ അന്യായം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുകയാണ്. അതിനാല് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്രഷ്ടാവിലേക്ക് പശ്ചാത്തപിച്ച് മടങ്ങുകയും (പ്രായശ്ചിത്തമായി) നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളെതന്നെ നിഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക. നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്രഷ്ടാവിന്റെഅടുക്കല് അതാണ് നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഗുണകരം എന്ന് മൂസാ തന്റെജനതയോട് പറഞ്ഞ സന്ദര്ഭവും (ഓര്മിക്കുക). അനന്തരം അല്ലാഹു നിങ്ങളുടെ പശ്ചാത്താപം സ്വീകരിച്ചു. അവന് പശ്ചാത്താപം ഏറെ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവനും കരുണാനിധിയുമത്രെ.(54)
(54) وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّكُمْ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ بِاتِّخَاذِكُمُ الْعِجْلَ فَتُوبُوا إِلَىٰ بَارِئِكُمْ فَاقْتُلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ عِنْدَ بَارِئِكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his people: "O my people! Verily, you have wronged yourselves by worshipping the calf. So turn in repentance to your Creator and kill yourselves (the innocent kill the wrongdoers among you), that will be better for you with your Lord." Then He accepted your repentance. Truly, He is the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.(54)
