അല്ലാഹു അവന്‍റെ റസൂലിന്‌ വിവിധ രാജ്യക്കാരില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ കൈവരുത്തി കൊടുത്തതെന്തോ അത്‌ അല്ലാഹുവിനും റസൂലിനും അടുത്ത കുടുംബങ്ങള്‍ക്കും അനാഥകള്‍ക്കും അഗതികള്‍ക്കും വഴിപോക്കര്‍ക്കുമുള്ളതാകുന്നു. അത്‌ (ധനം) നിങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ധനികന്‍മാര്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ മാത്രം കൈമാറ്റം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്ന ഒന്നാവാതിരിക്കാന്‍ വേണ്ടിയാണത്‌. നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു റസൂല്‍ നല്‍കിയതെന്തോ അത്‌ നിങ്ങള്‍ സ്വീകരിക്കുക. എന്തൊന്നില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ അദ്ദേഹം നിങ്ങളെ വിലക്കിയോ അതില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ നിങ്ങള്‍ ഒഴിഞ്ഞ്‌ നില്‍ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക. നിങ്ങള്‍ അല്ലാഹുവെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക. തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അല്ലാഹു കഠിനമായി ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനാണ്‌.(7)
(7) مَا أَفَاءَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْقُرَىٰ فَلِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ كَيْ لَا يَكُونَ دُولَةً بَيْنَ الْأَغْنِيَاءِ مِنْكُمْ ۚ وَمَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
What Allah gave as booty (Fai') to His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) from the people of the townships, - it is for Allah, His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), the kindred (of Messenger Muhammad SAW), the orphans, Al-Masakin (the poor), and the wayfarer, in order that it may not become a fortune used by the rich among you. And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it), and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment.(7)
