ആദിന്റെ സഹോദരനെ (അഥവാ ഹൂദിനെ) പ്പറ്റി നീ ഓര്മിക്കുക. അഹ്ഖാഫിലുള്ള തന്റെ ജനതയ്ക്ക് അദ്ദേഹം താക്കീത് നല്കിയ സന്ദര്ഭം. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പിന്നിലും താക്കീതുകാര് കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയിട്ടുമുണ്ട്. അല്ലാഹുവെയല്ലാതെ നിങ്ങള് ആരാധിക്കരുത്. നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല് ഭയങ്കരമായ ഒരു ദിവസത്തെ ശിക്ഷ ഞാന് ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു. (എന്നാണ് അദ്ദേഹം താക്കീത് നല്കിയത്.)(21)
(21) ۞ وَاذْكُرْ أَخَا عَادٍ إِذْ أَنْذَرَ قَوْمَهُ بِالْأَحْقَافِ وَقَدْ خَلَتِ النُّذُرُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللَّهَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
And remember (Hud) the brother of 'Ad, when he warned his people in Al-Ahqaf (the curved sand-hills in the southern part of Arabian Peninsula). And surely, there have passed away warners before him and after him (saying): "Worship none but Allah; truly, I fear for you the torment of a mighty Day."(21)
