നിനക്ക് മുമ്പ് നമ്മുടെ ദൂതന്മാരായി നാം അയച്ചവരോട് ചോദിച്ചു നോക്കുക. പരമകാരുണികന് പുറമെ ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ട വല്ല ദൈവങ്ങളേയും നാം നിശ്ചയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്ന്.(45)
(45) وَاسْأَلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رُسُلِنَا أَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ دُونِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ آلِهَةً يُعْبَدُونَ
And ask (O Muhammad SAW) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: "Did We ever appoint aliha (gods) to be worshipped besides the Most Beneficent (Allah)?"(45)
