അങ്ങനെ ഇവരെക്കാള് കനത്ത കൈയ്യൂക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നവരെ നാം നശിപ്പിച്ചു കളഞ്ഞു. പൂര്വ്വികന്മാരുടെ ഉദാഹരണങ്ങള് മുമ്പ് കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയിട്ടുമുണ്ട്.(8)
(8) فَأَهْلَكْنَا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ بَطْشًا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Then We destroyed men stronger (in power) than these, and the example of the ancients has passed away (before them).(8)
