കൊട്ടാരത്തില്‍ പ്രവേശിച്ചു കൊള്ളുക എന്ന്‌ അവളോട്‌ പറയപ്പെട്ടു. എന്നാല്‍ അവളതു കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ അതൊരു ജലാശയമാണെന്ന്‌ വിചാരിക്കുകയും, തന്‍റെ കണങ്കാലുകളില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ വസ്ത്രം മേലോട്ട്‌ നീക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. സുലൈമാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു: ഇത്‌ സ്ഫടികകഷ്ണങ്ങള്‍ പാകിമിനുക്കിയ ഒരു കൊട്ടാരമാകുന്നു. അവള്‍ പറഞ്ഞു: എന്‍റെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, ഞാന്‍ എന്നോട്‌ തന്നെ അന്യായം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞാനിതാ സുലൈമാനോടൊപ്പം ലോകരക്ഷിതാവായ അല്ലാഹുവിന്‌ കീഴ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.(44)
(44) قِيلَ لَهَا ادْخُلِي الصَّرْحَ ۖ فَلَمَّا رَأَتْهُ حَسِبَتْهُ لُجَّةً وَكَشَفَتْ عَنْ سَاقَيْهَا ۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُ صَرْحٌ مُمَرَّدٌ مِنْ قَوَارِيرَ ۗ قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي وَأَسْلَمْتُ مَعَ سُلَيْمَانَ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
It was said to her: "Enter As-Sarh" [(a glass surface with water underneath it) or a palace], but when she saw it, she thought it was a pool, and she (tucked up her clothes) uncovering her legs, Sulaiman (Solomon) said: "Verily, it is Sarh [(a glass surface with water underneath it) or a palace] paved smooth with slab of glass." She said: "My Lord! Verily, I have wronged myself, and I submit (in Islam, together with Sulaiman (Solomon), to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)."(44)
