സുലൈമാന് ദാവൂദിന്റെ അനന്തരാവകാശിയായി. അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: ജനങ്ങളേ, പക്ഷികളുടെ ഭാഷ നമുക്ക് പഠിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. എല്ലാ കാര്യങ്ങളില് നിന്നും നമുക്ക് നല്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. തീര്ച്ചയായും ഇത് തന്നെയാകുന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷമായ അനുഗ്രഹം.(16)
(16) وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَانُ دَاوُودَ ۖ وَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنْطِقَ الطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْمُبِينُ
And Sulaiman (Solomon) inherited (the knowledge of) Dawud (David). He said: "O mankind! We have been taught the language of birds, and on us have been bestowed all things. This, verily, is an evident grace (from Allah)."(16)
