നൂഹിനെ നാം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജനതയിലേക്ക് ദൂതനായി അയക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. എന്നിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: എന്റെ ജനങ്ങളേ, നിങ്ങള് അല്ലാഹുവെ ആരാധിക്കുക. നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് അവനല്ലാതെ യാതൊരു ദൈവവുമില്ല. അതിനാല് നിങ്ങള് സൂക്ഷ്മത പാലിക്കുന്നില്ലേ?(23)
(23) وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ فَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
And indeed We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people, and he said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him (Islamic Monotheism). Will you not then be afraid (of Him i.e. of His Punishment because of worshipping others besides Him)?"(23)
