തങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരുമായി (ബന്ധപ്പെടുകയില്ലെന്ന്) ശപഥം ചെയ്ത് അകന്നു നില്ക്കുന്നവര്ക്ക് (അന്തിമ തീരുമാനത്തിന്) നാലുമാസം വരെ കാത്തിരിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. അതിനിടയില് അവര് (ശപഥം വിട്ട് ദാമ്പത്യത്തിലേക്ക്) മടങ്ങുകയാണെങ്കില് അല്ലാഹു ഏറെ പൊറുക്കുന്നവനും കരുണാനിധിയുമത്രെ.(226)
(226) لِلَّذِينَ يُؤْلُونَ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ تَرَبُّصُ أَرْبَعَةِ أَشْهُرٍ ۖ فَإِنْ فَاءُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
Those who take an oath not to have sexual relation with their wives must wait four months, then if they return (change their idea in this period), verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.(226)
