അങ്ങനെ നീ തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കുകയും കണ്ണുകുളിര്ത്തിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക. ഇനി നീ മനുഷ്യരില് ആരെയെങ്കിലും കാണുന്ന പക്ഷം ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞേക്കുക: പരമകാരുണികന്ന് വേണ്ടി ഞാന് ഒരു വ്രതം നേര്ന്നിരിക്കയാണ് അതിനാല് ഇന്നു ഞാന് ഒരു മനുഷ്യനോടും സംസാരിക്കുകയില്ല തന്നെ.(26)
(26) فَكُلِي وَاشْرَبِي وَقَرِّي عَيْنًا ۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ الْبَشَرِ أَحَدًا فَقُولِي إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ صَوْمًا فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ الْيَوْمَ إِنْسِيًّا
"So eat and drink and be glad, and if you see any human being, say: 'Verily! I have vowed a fast unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) so I shall not speak to any human being this day. (26)
