മനുഷ്യര്‍ ഒരൊറ്റ സമുദായമായിരുന്നു. അനന്തരം (അവര്‍ ഭിന്നിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ വിശ്വാസികള്‍ക്ക്‌) സന്തോഷവാര്‍ത്ത അറിയിക്കുവാനും, (നിഷേധികള്‍ക്ക്‌) താക്കീത്‌ നല്‍കുവാനുമായി അല്ലാഹു പ്രവാചകന്‍മാരെ നിയോഗിച്ചു. അവര്‍ (ജനങ്ങള്‍) ഭിന്നിച്ച വിഷയത്തില്‍ തീര്‍പ്പുകല്‍പിക്കുവാനായി അവരുടെ കൂടെ സത്യവേദവും അവന്‍ അയച്ചുകൊടുത്തു. എന്നാല്‍ വേദം നല്‍കപ്പെട്ടവര്‍ തന്നെ വ്യക്തമായ തെളിവുകള്‍ വന്നുകിട്ടിയതിനു ശേഷം അതില്‍ (വേദവിഷയത്തില്‍) ഭിന്നിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്‌ അവര്‍ തമ്മിലുള്ള മാത്സര്യം മൂലമല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുമല്ല. എന്നാല്‍ ഏതൊരു സത്യത്തില്‍ നിന്ന്‌ അവര്‍ ഭിന്നിച്ചകന്നുവോ ആ സത്യത്തിലേക്ക്‌ അല്ലാഹു തന്റെ താല്‍പര്യപ്രകാരം സത്യവിശ്വാസികള്‍ക്ക്‌ വഴി കാണിച്ചു. താന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവരെ അല്ലാഹു ശരിയായ പാതയിലേക്ക്‌ നയിക്കുന്നു.(213)
(213) كَانَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ النَّبِيِّينَ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنْذِرِينَ وَأَنْزَلَ مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فِيمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ ۚ وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ فِيهِ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ أُوتُوهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ فَهَدَى اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لِمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ
Mankind were one community and Allah sent Prophets with glad tidings and warnings, and with them He sent the Scripture in truth to judge between people in matters wherein they differed. And only those to whom (the Scripture) was given differed concerning it after clear proofs had come unto them through hatred, one to another. Then Allah by His Leave guided those who believed to the truth of that wherein they differed. And Allah guides whom He wills to a Straight Path.(213)
