എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവ് ആണ്മക്കളെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു പ്രത്യേകമായി നല്കുകയും, അവന് മലക്കുകളില് നിന്ന് പെണ്മക്കളെ സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുകയാണോ? തീര്ച്ചയായും ഗുരുതരമായ ഒരു വാക്ക് തന്നെയാകുന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നത്.(40)
(40) أَفَأَصْفَاكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِالْبَنِينَ وَاتَّخَذَ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنَاثًا ۚ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَقُولُونَ قَوْلًا عَظِيمًا
Has then your Lord (O pagans of Makkah) preferred for you sons, and taken for Himself from among the angels daughters. Verily! You utter an awful saying, indeed.(40)
