സത്യനിഷേധികളെ ഉപമിക്കാവുന്നത് വിളിയും തെളിയുമല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നും കേള്ക്കാത്ത ജന്തുവിനോട് ഒച്ചയിടുന്നവനോടാകുന്നു. അവര് ബധിരരും ഊമകളും അന്ധരുമാകുന്നു. അതിനാല് അവര് (യാതൊന്നും) ചിന്തിച്ചു ഗ്രഹിക്കുകയില്ല.(171)
(171) وَمَثَلُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يَنْعِقُ بِمَا لَا يَسْمَعُ إِلَّا دُعَاءً وَنِدَاءً ۚ صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
And the example of those who disbelieve, is as that of him who shouts to the (flock of sheep) that hears nothing but calls and cries. (They are) deaf, dumb and blind. So they do not understand.(171)
