അവന് (യൂസുഫ്) പറഞ്ഞു: എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവേ, ഇവര് എന്നെ ഏതൊന്നിലേക്ക് ക്ഷണിക്കുന്നുവോ അതിനെക്കാളും എനിക്ക് കൂടുതല് പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടത് ജയിലാകുന്നു. ഇവരുടെ കുതന്ത്രം എന്നെ വിട്ട് നീ തിരിച്ചുകളയാത്ത പക്ഷം ഞാന് അവരിലേക്ക് ചാഞ്ഞുപോയേക്കും. അങ്ങനെ ഞാന് അവിവേകികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ആയിപോകുകയും ചെയ്യും.(33)
(33) قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ ۖ وَإِلَّا تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَكُنْ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ
He said:"O my Lord! Prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me. Unless You turn away their plot from me, I will feel inclined towards them and be one (of those who commit sin and deserve blame or those who do deeds) of the ignorants."(33)
