നിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവ് ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കില് മനുഷ്യരെ അവന് ഒരൊറ്റ സമുദായമാക്കുമായിരുന്നു. (എന്നാല്) അവര് ഭിന്നിച്ചുകൊണേ്ടയിരിക്കുന്നതാണ്.(118)
(118) وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ النَّاسَ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً ۖ وَلَا يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ
And if your Lord had so willed, He could surely have made mankind one Ummah [nation or community (following one religion only i.e. Islam)], but they will not cease to disagree,(118)
