നാം അവരോട് അക്രമം ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല. പക്ഷെ അവര് അവരോട് തന്നെ അക്രമം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുകയാണുണ്ടായത്. എന്നാല് നിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ കല്പന വന്ന സമയത്ത് അല്ലാഹുവിന് പുറമെ അവര് വിളിച്ച് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ച് കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന അവരുടെ ദൈവങ്ങള് അവര്ക്ക് യാതൊരു ഉപകാരവും ചെയ്തില്ല. അവര് (ദൈവങ്ങള്) അവര്ക്ക് നാശം വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുക മാത്രമാണ് ചെയ്തത്.(101)
(101) وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ ۖ فَمَا أَغْنَتْ عَنْهُمْ آلِهَتُهُمُ الَّتِي يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ لَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَمَا زَادُوهُمْ غَيْرَ تَتْبِيبٍ
We wronged them not, but they wronged themselves. So their aliha (gods), other than Allah, whom they invoked, profited them naught when there came the Command of your Lord, nor did they add aught (to their lot) but destruction.(101)
