എന്നിട്ട് അവരുടെ കൈകള് അതിലേക്ക് നീളുന്നില്ലെന്ന് കണ്ടപ്പോള് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് അവരുടെ കാര്യത്തില് പന്തികേട് തോന്നുകയും അവരെ പറ്റി ഭയം അനുഭവപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവര് പറഞ്ഞു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട. ഞങ്ങള് ലൂത്വിന്റെ ജനതയിലേക്ക് നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്.(70)
(70) فَلَمَّا رَأَىٰ أَيْدِيَهُمْ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَيْهِ نَكِرَهُمْ وَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۚ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ
But when he saw their hands went not towards it (the meal), he felt some mistrust of them, and conceived a fear of them. They said: "Fear not, we have been sent against the people of Lout (Lot)."(70)
