ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവങ്ങളില് ഒരാള് നിനക്ക് എന്തോ ദോഷബാധ ഉളവാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് മാത്രമാണ് ഞങ്ങള്ക്ക് പറയാനുള്ളത്. ഹൂദ് പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള് പങ്കാളികളായി ചേര്ക്കുന്ന യാതൊന്നുമായും എനിക്ക് ബന്ധമില്ല എന്നതിന് ഞാന് അല്ലാഹുവെ സാക്ഷി നിര്ത്തുന്നു. (നിങ്ങളും) അതിന്ന് സാക്ഷികളായിരിക്കുക.(54)
(54) إِنْ نَقُولُ إِلَّا اعْتَرَاكَ بَعْضُ آلِهَتِنَا بِسُوءٍ ۗ قَالَ إِنِّي أُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ وَاشْهَدُوا أَنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ
"All that we say is that some of our gods (false deities) have seized you with evil (madness)." He said: "I call Allah to witness and bear you witness that I am free from that which you ascribe as partners in worship,(54)
