ബലഹീനരുടെ മേലും, രോഗികളുടെ മേലും, ചെലവഴിക്കാന് യാതൊന്നും കിട്ടാത്തവരുടെ മേലും -അവര് അല്ലാഹുവോടും റസൂലിനോടും ഗുണകാംക്ഷയുള്ളവരാണെങ്കില് -(യുദ്ധത്തിന് പോകാത്തതിന്റെ പേരില്) യാതൊരു കുറ്റവുമില്ല. സദ്വൃത്തരായ ആളുകള്ക്കെതിരില് (കുറ്റം ചുമത്താന്) യാതൊരു മാര്ഗവുമില്ല. അല്ലാഹു ഏറെ പൊറുക്കുന്നവനും കരുണാനിധിയുമാകുന്നു.(91)
(91) لَيْسَ عَلَى الضُّعَفَاءِ وَلَا عَلَى الْمَرْضَىٰ وَلَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ مَا يُنْفِقُونَ حَرَجٌ إِذَا نَصَحُوا لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ۚ مَا عَلَى الْمُحْسِنِينَ مِنْ سَبِيلٍ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
There is no blame on those who are weak or ill or who find no resources to spend [in holy fighting (Jihad)], if they are sincere and true (in duty) to Allah and His Messenger. No ground (of complaint) can there be against the Muhsinun (good-doers - see the footnote of V. 9:120). And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.(91)
