ഇവര്ക്ക് മുമ്പുള്ളവരുടെ വൃത്താന്തം ഇവര്ക്കു വന്നെത്തിയില്ലേ? അതായത് നൂഹിന്റെ ജനതയുടെയും, ആദ്, ഥമൂദ് ജനവിഭാഗങ്ങളുടെയും, ഇബ്രാഹീമിന്റെ ജനതയുടെയും മദ്യങ്കാരുടെയും കീഴ്മേല് മറിഞ്ഞ രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെയും (വൃത്താന്തം.) അവരിലേക്കുള്ള ദൂതന്മാര് വ്യക്തമായ തെളിവുകളും കൊണ്ട് അവരുടെ അടുത്ത് ചെല്ലുകയുണ്ടായി. അപ്പോള് അല്ലാഹു അവരോട് അക്രമം കാണിക്കുകയുണ്ടായില്ല. പക്ഷെ, അവര് അവരോടു തന്നെ അക്രമം കാണിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.(70)
(70) أَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوْمِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَصْحَابِ مَدْيَنَ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتِ ۚ أَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ كَانُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
Has not the story reached them of those before them? - The people of Nuh (Noah), 'Ad, and Thamud, the people of Ibrahim (Abraham), the dwellers of Madyan (Midian) and the cities overthrown [i.e. the people to whom Lout (Lot) preached], to them came their Messengers with clear proofs. So it was not Allah Who wronged them, but they used to wrong themselves.(70)
