ഇന്ന്‌ ജനങ്ങളില്‍ നിങ്ങളെ തോല്‍പിക്കാന്‍ ആരും തന്നെയില്ല. തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ സംരക്ഷകനായിരിക്കും. എന്ന്‌ പറഞ്ഞ്‌ കൊണ്ട്‌ പിശാച്‌ അവര്‍ക്ക്‌ അവരുടെ ചെയ്തികള്‍ ഭംഗിയായി തോന്നിച്ച സന്ദര്‍ഭവും (ഓര്‍ക്കുക.) അങ്ങനെ ആ രണ്ടുസംഘങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ടുമുട്ടിയപ്പോള്‍ എനിക്കു നിങ്ങളുമായി ഒരു ബന്ധവുമില്ല, തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നിങ്ങള്‍ കാണാത്ത പലതും ഞാന്‍ കാണുന്നുണ്ട്‌, തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഞാന്‍ അല്ലാഹുവെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു, അല്ലാഹു കഠിനമായി ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനത്രെ. എന്ന്‌ പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട്‌ അവന്‍ (പിശാച്‌) പിന്‍മാറിക്കളഞ്ഞു.(48)
(48) وَإِذْ زَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَقَالَ لَا غَالِبَ لَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَإِنِّي جَارٌ لَكُمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَتِ الْفِئَتَانِ نَكَصَ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيْهِ وَقَالَ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِنْكُمْ إِنِّي أَرَىٰ مَا لَا تَرَوْنَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ اللَّهَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
And (remember) when Shaitan (Satan) made their (evil) deeds seem fair to them and said, "No one of mankind can overcome you this Day (of the battle of Badr) and verily, I am your neighbour (for each and every help)." But when the two forces came in sight of each other, he ran away and said "Verily, I have nothing to do with you. Verily! I see what you see not. Verily! I fear Allah for Allah is Severe in punishment."(48)
