അല്ലാഹു അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതിരിക്കാന് എന്ത് അര്ഹതയാണുള്ളത്? അവരാകട്ടെ മസ്ജിദുല് ഹറാമില് നിന്ന് ആളുകളെ തടഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അവരാണെങ്കില് അതിന്റെ രക്ഷാധികാരികളല്ലതാനും. ഭയഭക്തിയുള്ളവരല്ലാതെ അതിന്റെ രക്ഷാധികാരികളാകാവുന്നതല്ല. പക്ഷെ അവരില് അധികപേരും (കാര്യം) മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നില്ല.(34)
(34) وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلَّا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوا أَوْلِيَاءَهُ ۚ إِنْ أَوْلِيَاؤُهُ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقُونَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
And why should not Allah punish them while they stop (men) from Al-Masjid-al-Haram, and they are not its guardians? None can be its guardian except Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2), but most of them know not.(34)
