അപ്പോള് നാം അവരുടെ കാര്യത്തില് ശിക്ഷാനടപടി എടുത്തു. അങ്ങനെ അവരെ നാം കടലില് മുക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു. അവര് നമ്മുടെ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളെ നിഷേധിച്ചുകളയുകയും അവയെപ്പറ്റി അശ്രദ്ധരായിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതിന്റെ ഫലമത്രെ അത്.(136)
(136) فَانْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَكَانُوا عَنْهَا غَافِلِينَ
So We took retribution from them. We drowned them in the sea, because they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and were heedless about them.(136)
